One of our customers commented unfavorably about the snake in the storeroom. Well, it's not the snake that's the problem; it's George Frey in the storeroom that's the problem. Saturday night George upset a shelf of canned peaches that broke and spilled all over the flour bin.
"But for the shattered glass, we might have some dandy peach cobbler," said Earl the dishwasher. Earl almost never says anything so we were all a bit surprised. Edna says that almost never saying anything is what you want in a dishwasher.

Be careful that the snake doesn't eat all the peach cobbler, then he'll never leave.
"Nah," Edna says. "The broken glass woulda' got 'em. Aside from which it settled in that lady's crochet tote & slept through all that commotion in the store room."
