We are pleased to inform our readers that the proper spelling of a common name is actually "cling-on" never capitalized with a "K" and never referring to a being from some planet other than our own. Properly put, a cling-on is a stocking, usually black or dark brown that adheres to an item undergoing the process known as laundering. No other wearing apparel is so designated.
