I never would have guessed you could serve so many things in a hot dog bun. That was Edna's theme for this year's Independence Day special. Not just hot dogs with red, white, and blue condiments, but hot dog shaped fruit cocktail, fried onions. Honestly, there was everything you could want all served in a hot dog bun.
Then the fireworks over Center Lake! The Firebugs Club is getting better. This year they reported zero burns and only one carton of the show what slid off the pier.
Edna hung a sign on the door after breakfast shift Saturday. It was real Edna: "Taking the rest of the weekend off. Eat somewheres else and we'll see you all Monday!" If anything, the traffic was a bit heavier today than normal for a July Monday. Edna says you can't let people take you for granted.
