Edna sent Earl out to Stille Brothers Q & C to the tomato set sale. Stille Brothers are claiming the best prices in the county. Earl thought they were the only ones in the county selling them. "How can you come out number 2?" Anyway, that was Earl & little Mrs. Kelsey who went out to the Q & C and bought tomato sets. Edna's been wanting to do this, a kind of kitchen garden. Why buy local produce when you can grow it. Tonight or tomorrow, they're putting them out in Earl's yard by where the hot dog stand is parked. Oops, that's garaged. According to city ordinance, the hot dog stand is garaged.
Earl puts it inside during the winter, but for now he's got a tarp over it labelled "Open Air Garage." Sonny said she didn't know there was such a thing as an open air garage. Earl said back, "There is now."
