Persistence!

Dear Anonymous:

Well, we weren't too sure we were coming back after the roof caved in the winter of 2010-11 and we couldn't get anything fixed on account of the aluminum roof fixers union on strike. Then the union disbanded and we just didn't know what to do so Edna says, "Let's all of us go down to the winter camp" (of the circus, retirees mostly). Then George Bridge and little Mrs. Kelsy ran off and got married, Sonny Lee went off to college, my ex came down to Florida to see if I'd remarry him. Maeve and Jay Lee been trucking across the country and we figure we all might just get our act together and get this cafe back in business. The folks down at the co-op cafe want to take some time off.

Well, one day not so long ago we were sitting on the beach and Edna says to me, "You know, Jenn, I ain't ready to retire yet."

"Me neither," I said. So I guess you asked at about the right time. We gotta get that roof fixed first off.
