Hi All!
Of course we're open. We stay open late on holidays and alternate Sundays. We're especially open then because people can be a lot in need of a place to eat those days, I mean on Sundays and holidays when nothing else is open. Just us and a Chinese restaurant, if we had one. Matter of fact, Edna thought the town could really use a good Chinese restaurant. She values variety in the culinary experience. Maybe we should advertise for someone to open one. Edna figures more places to eat will attract more customers. Got me.
Anyway, tomorrow the kids are back to school and we have got to find another substitute waitress. G.I. Bridge was supposed to wait tables but he really rather cook and bake so Edna has Maeve set to interview a waitress or waiter. Maeve? Yep, Maeve. She's the best waitress in six or nine counties and Edna is rather serious about this "Employee Enrichment Program" thing.
Quiet in the place now because everyone, mostly, is at the fairgrounds for the races for all ages event they're having. It starts with new moms pushing strollers, then kids on tricycles and on up the the way to jumping combines or something unless someone comes up with a bigger challenge. There's food enough out at the fairgrounds so we decided not to go out there with the hog dog wagon. Besides, I thin Earl and G.I. are racing lawn mowers and didn't want to mess with it anyway. I sure hope this goes off without broken bones.
So, thanks for stopping by & Happy Labor Day,
Jenn
