Between Time

Hi All:

You know what I mean by between time? It seems like we got a little extra time between taking down the Thanksgiving decorations  and putting up the Christmas ones. It's a week where we're just plain the restaurant. I kind of like that. Jill, our new little gal that replaced Sonny, did fine working her first big holiday rush. Haven't figured it all up yet, but I think we did pretty well from Wednesday evening through Thursday night. Then there was Friday! We ran out of donuts. That's a first. You just can't always tell.

Maeve and Jill were talking over the Christmas decorations that go up for next Sunday. Edna nixed the idea of cute little reindeer. She didn't think the hunter's special venison dinner mid December like would go over too well if we had cute little deer all over the place. No-one seems to mind when it's cute little turkeys. I don't understand that.
