Hi Gang:
Well Halloween Night was just glorious. None of the kids got their heads stuck in pumpkins and they just loved all the pop up ghosts we had rigged up and down Main Street. The kids loved it, but Mrs. Angstrom the school clerk almost fainted when one of the ghosts popped up right directly in front of her. Here at the cafe we served graveyard stew. The older guys liked it. Graveyard stew is milk toast with (or without cinnamon and butter, case you didn't know. Then after hours, about nine or so the Halloween patrol came out and made for certain that there weren't any after hours dirty tricks. I haven't heard any reports of anything so it was all in all a pretty swell Halloween. Maybe next year I'll remember about a costume. It just slipped my mind, what with my ex buzzing around.
Tomorrow we're serving electoral stew at the cafe. I don't know what Edna's planning to put in it because she didn't order anything special, but G.I. is baking hard rolls. That's all as close to politics as we get in the restaurant.
Have a great week all!
Jenn
