Good Evening Readers, Guests, Anyone Sneaking In:
Why am I expecting a headache? Well, the bread delivery didn't come. Labor Day, you know. Then there was the beef truck, and paper goods. Ditto. Hey, I'm not against holidays, whenever they come Monday or not. It's just that these deliveries have a way of stacking up and the alley's only so big. Then we're in for the regularly scheduled soap and chemicals delivery. What else? Extra mail. I don'r know why I'm making such a fuss here. It isn't as though this never happened before. I'd just like for Larry and I to take the boat out on the Lake for a floating picnic. We talked about taking a small grill out and cook steaks--before the weather gets cold.
Oh, the boat? It's an old wood skiff and you gotta eat fast cause it leaks. We patch, it leaks. Kind of a game the rowboat plays with us, you know.
Glad you stopped in. Don't order the apple fritters; they're stale. Make Edna give you a price break if you do. And have Maeve heat them in the microwave before you even think of biting down cause the dentist is on vacation till Thursday.
Faithfully,
Jenn
