Side-Tracked

Good Evening Blog Readers:

Or, gosh, "Good Morning," I mean. Good whenever you happen to drop in and read today's episode of "Restaurant!" Sorry, I get carried away, but you know, sometimes I think our little town and cafe would make some kind of soap opera or weekly unreality show.

Anyway, today's big news is that committee Maeve's on, the one to come up with a festival to attract visitors and business, the committee thought it best to think about Halloween. Maeve's all excited. The committee members have taken to wearing orange and lack badges that say "Halloween 2014" in wavy letters. Now if they could only figure out something to do that day. Maeve assures me they're coming up with ideas. For one thing, there won't be anything in school except some multimedia presentations about the history of the day. It's going to be all educational till after school.

The official schedule will come out the week before Halloween and Maeve isn't saying much more than that it starts with a grand parade at about 4:00 PM. That's almost supper time so I hope they've got the Parents  Association involved. There's a potential here for conflict.

As they say on TV, stay tuned for developments. Meanwhile, glad you stopped in. Till next week, don't let stuff scare you!
