Toasted Brussels Sprouts

Good Morning Gang:

We're in the after breakfast lull so I thought I'd take some time off and, like, communicate. You read right, toasted Brussels sprouts.Now I know we're not really gonna gum up a toaster--we have two, the big rotary machine and a slow crowd six-slicer job. The six has bread sensors (Don't ask cause I don't know!) so the slots only heat if they're filled. I think Edna has in mind to bake them, but then wouldn't the be baked sprouts? Maybe she's going to do them in a toaster oven. Now to me that's the same thing as baking but to Edna it's truth in advertising. Coat them in olive oil and cook. Gee, wouldn't you want to soften them up first? There's a good reason I'm the bookkeeper and not a cook. "You got no kitchen sense," Edna claims & she's talking about me.

Glad I can count!

Another beauty of a day in Loon County, 45 degrees last I looked, sunshine, the guys are done with the planting and we're all hoping it doesn't freeze. In fact the corn's mostly up, been up for over a week now. No mosquitoes yet either. Who says you can't have it all! Prom is Friday night, no date required. Oh, and Maeve & Jay Lee will be back from the Southwest tomorrow or Thursday.  Glad you took the time to stop in! Have a great week.
