You've noticed we are a bit less than regular about posting to the blog. One reason is that it's been a slow week & nothing special has happened. Another reason is that it's been hectic and everything, often in the person of Mrs. Kelsey, has happened. Biggest reason of all? Edna says you girls quit messing with that blog and get the side work done! It was the third reason this week. Oh, Edna likes the blog well enough; she just has allergies and gets grumpy. Earl once whispered that Edna didn't need any kind of help for grumpiness--came to her natural like.
Well, there is some interesting news: Ethan showed up again. You might remember he took up residence on the Pee Wee softball field scoreboard with a lady hawk, but she left him with a literally empty nest. Some other he hawk must have smelled better. Guess he was off in the grove by Center Lake--on the west edge of town--sulking or something. Then the other evening, Ethan shows up on Maeve's porch with a lunky leather glove. Maeve looks up and he drops it in her lap so she tries it on. Fits about half to her elbow. Then Ethan, that little charmer, settles down on Maeves wrist. He lifted off for a tree when Maeve told him she was going in. She's kept the glove though and maybe the two of them will go strolling on fine Sunday afternoons.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jenn
