Sleepy Saturday

Well, Edna's prepping the Sunday dinner special, roast beast she calls it, and the entire rest of the world is down at the lake spotting fish. Season hasn't started but as Jake Grunner says, "Looking doesn't need a license!" Fish-looking is kind of a favorite sport here because you don't need a lot of fancy equipment. You can even do it from the shore but you don't see as much. That's why the city council had to vote to re-enforce the pier. Last year too many people all ganged up on the pier and it collapsed. Nobody hurt, just a lot of mucky people. Then they came here for coffee and hot chocolate but Edna said they had to go to the drive up window. Gosh, we almost never use the thing because there's no road or anything there.

Edna's just polishing up her endowed meat cleaver so it's time to go clean potatoes and carrots for the roast. Hope you can stop in for the special some time. It's Edna's Excellent.

Sincerely,
Jenn
