Answering the Mail

Hi All:

Got a comment from a guy named anonymous about whether we'd like an invite to come to our blog on their blog site. Did I get that straight? If I did, then the answer is, "Heck yeah! And thank you." See, we don't have a whole lot of advertising budget. Small ad in the yellow pages and some chip ins to those gang ads in the LC Times. That's about it. We still have all those match books, real pretty, gray with silver and black lettering that we handed out. Then someone or other got down on Edna for encouraging smoking. Edna said as though we weren't encouraging anything. We were just handing out souvenir match books cause people collect them. But alright, if there's gonna be a whole fuss about it, Edna tears the matches out and says "Here. Now it's just a piece of cardboard that used to be a match book. Satisfied!" So we're still handing out matchless match books. Not a lot of takers though. I guess it's just not the same thing, you know.

City council is still deliberating about when to schedule Boccie Days. They don't want to have it in the middle of county fair season so it's either going to be late spring or early fall. They might have it figured out before Christmas.

So, that's about it for now. Think I'll go out and walk around the block before the coffee break crowd shows up. Thanks for stopping in,
