Historic Re-enactment

People:

You read that right, they're at it again! The Chamber of Commerce, that's most of Main Street and the Stille Brothers, are digging into the past. Somebody or other went to Defeat of Jesse James Days over by Northfield a few years ago and ever since the CC has wanted to hold a historic re-enactment. Only trouble is we haven't got any good historic incidents to play out. So far attempts to figure out a good reason to hold some sort of festival hasn't worked out either. The Chamber has two committees going, one for each goal. The way things work around here is that the same people are on both committees--the one on creating a festival weekend and the one on having a historic re-enactment. I don't know; we got county fair and ice skating and Santa Claus. That ought to do it for one place.

Arthur Bridge said it sounded like a bunch of histrionics to him. I'll have to look that one up. Meanwhile, have a good week and thanks for stopping by.
