Greetings Guest-Reader-Persons:
First of all I have to rave about what great weather we're having. Yesterday & today it's been bright sunshine and like 40 degrees. I almost want to cut out of work and get into a bathing suit. Forty degrees is sunbathing weather here. I know, only in Minnesota.
Oh, the Valentine party. That was, as Earl says "Inneresting." Maeve had some wait staff trainees in to help and she gave them a $20 budget for valentine decorations. She said she'd spring for the candy hearts. The challenge was to turn the place into a Valentine's Day party and it mostly worked. The kids, there's two waiter apprentices, took the green off some red, gold, and green old Christmas stuff and even spray painted some pumpkins with heart carvings. They also spray painted some old bows and arrows and rigged up some recorded music. Larry came in and we danced to really ancient music like The Lettermen singing "Portrait of my love" since it was our first wedding anniversary from our second marriage. Edna said that if it got any mushier in here she have to have the whole joint steam-cleaned. Edna's not so romantic I think. Maeve was, like, thrilled to tears and everyone got a free heart shaped giant cookie compliments of G.I. Bridge.
So, it was a hard day to top, but Edna isn't one to rest on her laurels so she said to start thinking about Easter. Enjoy the sun, Everybody, and thanks for coming by.
Sincerely,
Jenn
