Diversity

Hi Readers & Others:

This diversity thing came from the Loon Center Ecumenical Committee which met in executive session Sunday afternoon near the rear of the dinning room. The representatives from the town's four churches--all some kind of Lutheran--decided they had to do something about lagging attendance. Someone suggested that maybe people were bored and we needed some different churches, you know, kind of like variety? Well someone else on the committee thought that might be treasonous but on the whole nobody thought so.

They're going to get some reference books and study up and match up with the town population and see which church that we don't have that maybe we should get. I know Pastor Knutson didn't think an all Lutheran town was so boring, but then he fell asleep later in the meeting. That sort of cut his credibility. I do know we don't much discuss matters of belief in the restaurant; Edna thinks that leads to fights that leads to bad business. I thought this once it would be OK to talk about since the meeting happened here. Wonder what they'll come up with.

Thanks to the anonymous commenter who suggested a hay bale maze. Maeve said the planning committee for Halloween would use the idea.

Thanks all for stopping in and have a great week.

Jenn
