Yeah, to the day. It's been quiet around here except for the mayonnaise mix up, as Earl calls it. We were getting ready to fix up a huge batch of potato salad for the fire station fund raiser yesterday morning when the assistant fire chief came in with a huge carton or mayo jars. This was just about when Edna came storming out of the kitchen waiving around a fireman's helmets and screaming for Earl because Earl's the one that signed the delivery slip. "You mean you didn't notice you were accepting delivery on a carton of fireman helmets! Unbelievable." Well, since Jeff had our mayonnaise and it's all for their fundraiser, it all came out OK. We got the potato salad done and delivered and the county/city/township fire department got their helmets. Now all they need's a new fire hall because the old one just burned down. Bad wiring or something. They saved both engines alright. The two guys with the biggest yards took them home. Wives musta been surprised at that. The temporary phone tree seems to work to.
Meanwhile we aren't planning any big celebrations here till maybe July 4th. Earl thinks the Legion or someone is going to try that floating bonfire again. This time, they better have the Coast Guard on call.
Thanks for stopping in. Be writing when I think of something. Tax season always wears me out.
Yours,
Jenn
