Grand Re-opening

That will be on July 12th, Henry David Thoreau's birthday. G.I. Bridge has gotten some of his school friends will be doing readings throughout the day. Edna said a reading like that in her restaurant was about as rare as waitress-pinching. If you know Edna, you know that just doesn't happen in here.

The Fourth went fine. It was held at the lake cause it was still sort of dry here. Had a deputy out in a rowboat to keep an eye on things. At least this year they sent a guy who could swim. We've had some nasty close calls at the lake I won't burden myself to remember.

Glad your 4th went well.

FYI-
I read somewhere a couple years ago that we use more gunpowder in one night to celebrate the 4th, than we and the British did in the whole revolution. Go figure......
