The Ice Cube Contest

Good Evening Readers & Eaters:

That's right, an ice cube contest, new at Loon County Fair this year. All ages. In the adult class, my Larry, Jay Lee, Earl, and GI Bridge are thinking of entering. I don't know if they'll go team or singles, but the idea is you buy a big bag of ice cubes and you have a set period of time to build something. This year it's an ice boat. I don't know if the thing actually has to float. But then, why make it a boat? There are just things in this world I don't understand. The county fair board is definitely one of them.

We're gonna have the hot dog wagon out for the races and some of the night shows. Outside of that, Edna says we're gonna be the non fair alternative. I never thought of our restaurant as an alternative. It's almost exciting. Well, better get a move on. Fair opens Friday with the noon ribbon cutting. The fair board symbolically reties the ribbon at 3:30 PM Monday.

Thanks for coming by.
Jenn

(Wish they'd keep that ice out of the dinning room. It's getting into everything and someone's gonna trip!)
