Well Readers:
The ribbon's been retied and County Fair 2014 has been put to bed. But of course the hot dog wagon did well at the races. Maybe some year we should race the wagon. Some of the guys tried the ice cube contest. My Larry even practiced. Heck those guys went through a lot of ice while they weren't successfully building boats. In an unexpected move, the judges didn't issue any awards for entries. No-one pulled it off. Fair Board didn't know if they would run the contest again. They'll have to talk.
GI and Earl did pick up a red ribbon for cinnamon buns. I'm probably leaving out a lot of fun stuff but I'm bushed. The fair weekend is always a whirlwind.
The kids are grubbing their way back to school. They go back around the 15th. I think it's too darn hot to sit in a classroom, but I'm the sort that would find next month too wet, month after too chilly. I like to read but I never was much of a student. Speaking of the weather, tonight's going to be great for sitting on the porch.
Have a good evening too.
Jenn
