Seriously People:
I'm ready to scream! Our office supplies supplier retired so I went online to find a new source. Well, there's this one highly rated company that had the stuff I needed--pen refills and staples. (We print out our own guest checks, desktop publishing has reached Loon Center.) So I find the stuff and there's no check out. Just an 800 number. So I call the 800 number and, honestly People, you don't really want to read this tale of woe. I'm sure you've been through it too. Need I say I have yet to place my order. Think I'll go outside and scream.
Other news on the home front. The results of the Halloween treats meeting was candy corn cookies baked by our own G.I. Bridge. He's going to make them in orange and yellow one of each per spooky visitor all cello wrapped and marked from us. The Hay Bale Maze committee is meeting in top secret at an undisclosed location. I've heard they're that secretive that way about Mardi Gras floats down in Louisiana. Did I spell that the way it's supposed to go? My spelling checker didn't know. It should get out more.
Another glorious day here in western Minnesota. Maybe instead of screaming, I'll just sit out for coffee break and breathe in the scenery. Sometimes Maeve's hawk friend Ethan comes by with his mate. Comes by just to say hello and sometimes with a gift from the hunt. That pair eats well. As always, thanks for stopping in at the cafe. May all your coffee be hand ground and all your soda mixed from the fountain with this year's syrup.
Faithfully,
Jenn
