Welcome Readers:
That hourglass thing? Well, they've been racing around like crazy at the fairgrounds putting together the spook maze. There have been construction problems. Here's the biggie--not everyone bales round. So they got a mountain of square bales to fit in and they also had to use some cribbing and corn plants. It's become a farm-theme maze instead of just a hay bale maze.. Opens to the public at 3;30 PM Friday. Friday is Halloween, isn't it?
There's even more excitement. We're getting our first combination optometrist-ear doctor--coffee shop here in town. Three brothers running it. What makes it truly unique is that the optometrist is deaf and the ear doctor is blind. I wonder if the one running the coffee house has no sense of taste. Edna says it's fine if G.I. sends them pastries for sale. Maybe we can sell them real Minnesota style brew. Oh, and they're calling it, ahem, The Three Brothers.
Nice nip in the air. Arthur Bridge swears he smells snow. Not yet? Oh well, we're Minnesotans; we're rough. We can take it. Glad you came by. Have a good week.
Jenn
