Eruption!!

Good Morning Gang:

About this eruption thing in a minute. First I have to tell you that Ethan is one unhappy hawk on two counts. The first is that his pet human, Maeve, took off with Jay Lee on another cross country road trip. I think he knows that if he leaves a dead mouse on the porch in the morning and it's still there by evening, Maeve isn't there. That is until a few days ago because we had what the naturalist people call an eruption, but it isn't about volcanoes.

It's about owls. It's true. I read about it in Minnesota Conservation Volunteer magazine, you know, that the DNR puts out. It means you get a whole lot of owls in one place at one time and I guess Ethan doesn't much care for owls. He and his newest mate--the last one got killed on a power line--have been guarding their nest and being regularly perturbed about those owls. I don't know what kind they are. Arthur Bridge said they might be boreal  owls but you couldn't prove it by me. Edna says we're gonna have to have the restaurant roof cleaned sooner than ever even after the grackles came through.
