From Cold to Hot

Hi Readers:

That's it, you know. It runs from cold to hot and sometimes all in one day here. Usually, I mean. It's seldom that the temperature is hot round the clock. Anyway, after rain all weekend, let's just say if the restaurant had a basement, it would be flooded. As it is our sump pump at home is running full speed ahead.

Of all the plans for the town's Blue Loon festival, there still isn't a date set. The committee is one of these secret society type things. Anyone can leave a suggestion, but you have to be on the committee to decide anything. That never was my strong suit-deciding-so I'm not envious. Just why do they have to be all hush hush about it?

Maeve did come up with a great idea: she says we should have an education loon come from the Minnesota Zoo. You know, like the Raptor Center up at the U in the cities will bring an eagle to your town. This would be like that only different because she said, "Let's have an education loon." I don't know, does that exist? I wonder where Maeve, of all people, came up with a real idea. Maybe from her friend Ethan. If you remember, Maeve has a friend that's a real live red tail hawk. I'll bet that idea came from the bird.
