Hi Readers:
Gosh it was so busy yesterday. Father's Day. We didn't need to run a special. Edna has declared that every meal we serve should be special so we don't run specials any more since she said that. It was our usual bill of fare: chicken or beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, dinner roll, and side salad. Jackson from the small dairy farm over north of here was short of cash so Edna took payment in milk. Earl's pasteurizing it, and the guys are getting together to make some kind of cheese. I'm looking forward to this.
Well it's almost summer by the calendar and here it's summer by the thermometer. 80 degrees today!
Oh, Mr. Edward T. Slurry's surprise? It's a big beautiful corn popping machine we can take to the 4th of July celebration by the lake. Comes with it's own patented self-contained storage cabinet and Mr. Slurry even treated us to some specially printed up cardboard boxes to sell the pop corn in. This is gonna be fun too. We tried it out last night and it really makes good pop corn.
That's some of the news from Loon Cener. Glad you came in.
Faithfully,
Jenn
