The Glorious Fourth--Almost

Hello All:

I suppose I shouldn't complain. The celebrations were great. Music, fireworks, the kids reading from the Declaration. The new popcorn stand worked the way the directions said and the hot dog/chili stand made money too.  It was all good.

Then some goof tries another floating bonfire on Center Lake. Fortunately no-one hurt and no serious property damage except for that poor rowboat that sank. The people got out OK.  The town and city commissioners are thinking of banning manned watercraft on the lake. Now you know that won't go over. And here we are waiting to hear back from this Earth Boats place in Massachusetts about what to do with this raft we didn't order. I mean, they gotta come in and take it home...don't they?

Sunny outside. Think I'll sit out with ice tea for awhile. I'm caught up. Thanks for coming over.

Jenn
