Attack!

Afternoon Gang:

Well, it only feels like attack. It's the crop duster planes, you know, how they fly in so low you spit in their eye and then they curl around and up again. It's part scary and part something else. I don't know. It sort of gives me chills. You can't go by me though. Edna claims that baby penguins give me the chills too. It's really just looking at all that ice and snow during August that does it to me. In fact, looking at penguin pictures is one of my favorite ways to keep cool when it's hot like today. Edna was right; we are selling a lot of grilled cheese and tomato soup specials in this weather. Edna has this gift for menu making that also gives me the chills.

Maybe I'm just too easy that way.

The kids go back to school next week here and the other sign of autumn is the poplars starting to turn. It's the poplars then the fringes of other trees and the soybeans turning colors in almost that order. I suppose I'm ready for a taffy apple with nuts. Larry and I had that on one of out first dates to a Loon High football game. H'mm, they ought to be playing again soon too. This time, I'm gonna invite Larry!

Glad you stopped in.
Jenn
