It Missed Us--Mostly

I mean the mini tornado that came through the county this week. It only touched down one place. Wrecked a storage building at George Frey's place. What was he storing? Well, George Frey's place is the Herpetology Haven. It smacked down a shed leaving about 50 snakes of all kinds homeless. That's homeless until you find one under your car in the drive way like little Mrs. Kelsey did. Lucky Earl was with her as they were about to go on their tomato plant service route. Earl said he thought you could hear the screaming all the way to Duluth. Scared that snake, she did and it took off like a rope on rollers.

Outside of that it's been quiet here. Weekend of the Fourth was an absolute mad house. Monday afternoon Edna decided let's all take a few days off so we closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I asked Edna did she think it was a good idea what with people expecting us to be here and then we're not so Edna has us make up about 60 sandwiches and Sunny hung out at the walk up window from 11;00 to 1;30 those days for those who were left shifting. Sold off all but 5. Friday people were back as usual. "Trust Edna."

Stay out of the heat and thanks for stopping by.
Jenn
