Hie Thee to the Faire

I saw that in an ad for one of those medieval fairs they hold up in the cities, the ones with knights on horseback and wandering people wearing all sorts of bright clothes. Looked like fun and I thought I might ride up there sometime and see it. I thought of that because it's Loon County Fair time. Well, time past. The fair ended Friday and we sold a lot of hot dogs. Used a half gallon of mustard even.

But who ever thought a lemon eating contest would draw any takers! All you'd win is a total upset stomach, but people were disappointed to find out it was a promotion thing by the county dietitians to get people over to their booth. I think there are two of them now, keep an office in the Loon County Family Health Center that was going to be called the Loon County Wellness Center but it caused so much snickering over the name. Fritchey's Well Service thought it might work for him--something like "Let our wells help your wellness." I think that was the last straw for the Wellness idea and they got sensible for us.

Edna gave me the afternoon off so the big question is: what am I doing here!
Thanks for stopping in,
Jenn
