The Snake Score

By now our county wide snake search has made it into some of the bigger newspapers around the state. Out of the 45 or so snakes George Frey lost when the mini tornado wiped out his shed, about 203 snakes have been found. That includes the ones Ethan and his growing family have left on Maeve and Jay Lee's front porch. (How about that! The Lees have a front porch and they really sit out some nights!) Earl regularly checks little Mrs. Kelsey's crochet tote since one of Frey's little friends spent more time there once than anyone cares to think.

George Frey has been identifying his snakes--how does he know, scale prints?--and re-releasing the ones he doesn't recognize. There are some twenty or more snakes that WILL NOT be re-released here in the county. I think there's that state office of creepy resources that handles that and some kinds of spiders. You don't want them to get into your drinking water.

Well, thanks for stopping in, and at least for the time being, watch where you walk.
Faithfully,
Jenn
