Hi Gang:
Another crazy day, three deliveries and one with a flat out back of the shop. Glad it wasn't ice cream. The "They" in the title is whoever plans the 4th of July even. I think it's the Loon County Veterans United. They wanted to get as many people as possible involved.
Anyway, they decided to try another floating campfire as well as the air show. The last floating fire sank and almost set the lake on fire. Well, OK, what happened is that after the raft went does bits of it went floating off. It was pretty and it could have been bad. Volunteer fire service is gonna be standing by with their first ever boat.
The cafe crew is mainly off nights this weekend except for the 4th On The Lake as they're calling it. We'll have the hot dog wagon out--the restaurant on the highway is taking holiday extended hours--with choice of exotic mustards and ketchups and relish. Also your choice of buns and wieners. If that truck ever shows up, we'll have a choice of chips too. Can you imagine that, potato chips in flavors, rice chips, and whole grain chips all with and without salt. "Got to keep up with the trends," says Edna.
