Besides multiple copies of the Benefits of Bananas, Maeve came back from the Kitchen & Barn Show at the high school with a bunch of Lakota dream catchers. You know, you hang them up where you sleep and they're supposed to stop the bad dreams from bothering you. She hung one up in her bedroom and Jay Lee had a heck of a nightmare so Maeve sent an email to the guy she bought the dream catchers from. He said they don't work unless you pay for the activation code and since she bough five, he offered her a bulk discount because he said each one has its own separate code. If you don't activate them, they're only good as window decorations.
Come to think of it, why would she buy five dream catchers? It's a two bedroom house. Maeve and Jay Lee moved into a smaller place after the twins both moved out. Turns out she wanted to tack them up over the windowsin the cafe. Edna said she was OK with Maeve's pet cactus, but she didn't want to encourage anyone sleeping in the cafe--especially not in the booths by the windows. "Attracts sleepy people, not hungry ones, says Edna. "We want the hungry ones."
The new hot dog stand is particularly the talk of the town. At least at the football games at the high school. Hope you'll stop by and try us out. Good week to all!
